Don't forget the little guys:)

The use and creation of a 3 X 3 card is so underused..don't you think??  I love these little cards.  They are so easy to make, easy to assemble and are great little thank you or birthday cards!!  So I guess my point is don't forget the little guys when making cards...they are as fun to get as they are to make:)

A Man's Card

Do any of you ever find it difficult to pick out a manly card?  I'm always looking for ways to make a masculine card.  Well I found an idea......I used the "Spiced Cake" Suite DSP and the stamp set "Gently Falling" in the colors early expresso and crumb cake.  I think it is a great balance of simple beauty and masculinity.

Can anyone tell that I was hungry when I was creating these cards???  LOL.

I love the new idea book and catalog!!  With these two cards I used the new pennant punch and the stamp set "Pennant Parade".  They are so versatile and can really be used in so many ways.  I also, of course, had to use my "Crazy for Cupcakes" stamp set.  It really does make you want to go out and buy some cupcakes to eat!!  If you don't have these stamp sets yet now is a perfect time to purchase them.  I am offering my customers a 20% discount on the product of their choice out of the new catty.  Please contact me or visit my website http://www.kristendutko-grove.stampinup.net/ if you want to take advantage of this great deal!

Happy Stamping and Creating:)

Thank god for the warm beautiful weather we are having......the kids have been playing outside giving me a little time to get some stamping done:)  It has been wonderful!

I have been concentrating on using products from the new summer mini catty.  With this card I used the "Bold Blossom" stamp set and the new triple layer punch.

I love the new triple layer punch  it is wonderful and very versatile.  I used the "Blossom Bouquet" punch for this card.  I found it very easy to use.

Since this is my new favorite punch I am offering it @ 20% OFF!!!!!!!!!  That's right....the punch will cost you $19.16 (plus tax and s/h).  If you are interested in this great deal please contact me for your order.
Email me @ sixisenough6@yahoo.com.

Wishing you happy stamping and creating!!!!!!

I have been busy making birthday invitations for my son Tristan and my dad.  They both have parties coming up and I wanted to hand make their invites.  I don't always have the time to make invitations, but I made it a point since becoming a demonstrator to hand make projects as much as possible.  I also plan on making their thank you cards and a party favor using the pillow box Big Shot die (I will post when finished):)  It is so nice to be able to make their invitations.  I love to make the cards and feel that each recipient will appreciate my work:)  And it's an excuse to stamp!!  The sailboat card is for my father and the bashful blue birthday invite is for my son.  I used the "Dot Invitation" stamp set for both cards.  I also embossed both cards using the Big Shot.  Hope you like them:)

Spring is definitely in the air and it makes me want to stamp even more!!!  If that's even possible:)  I have been really into using SU fabric lately and only hope to see more selections in the new IB&C coming out in July.  It could be something like using the big shot and making an apron or purse...which I have, of course.  Or something created by a few pieces and making a simple and fantastic card.  I recently made a simple card that reminded me of spring and of course gave it a splash of vintage.  The fabric added so much to the card.  I highly recommend trying fabric if you haven't already.  You don't have to be a master at sewing to use it which is the great thing.  I'll share a little secret with you, the apron and purse where made for me by other people:)  Here is the card I made with some of the springtime fabric out of the occassions mini.  I love using it and all you need is a pair of scissors!!!  Have a great day and happy stamping and creating:)

March 29

Once again I have been working on swaps:)  I have an event coming up with three different shoe box swaps.  I am showing a picture of my first swap for the swap-a-thon.  I embossed the DSP first then cut the flowers in the Big Shot with the Fancy Flowers die.  I think it came out great!  But yet it is very simple and quick to put together.

Sorry I haven't posted sooner, things have been busy and with six kids you can imagine how things really get insane.  Trying to find time to stamp is very difficult:)  But I make sure I do it because I love it so much!!!  I have also had workshops - woohoo!!  They went really well and we had alot of fun at them.

I also saw a stamp set that my upline had so I thought I would share it with you, it is the "Statement of the Heart".  I absolutely love it and if you love stamping, creating and stamping up as much as I do, you will love it too.

"To LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love, as we help others enjoy CREATIVITY and worthwhile accomplishments...in this we make a DIFFERNCE.    -Stampin' Up

I just love that.  It reminds me that through all the craziness in my life I have my stamping and that makes me happy!  And I love to share stamping and creating with others that makes me happy too:)

Happy Stamping and Creating!!!

Well regionals in Hartford were awesome.  Even though Shelli did not attend the event we all had a blast and learned so much....from new techniques, to workshop presentations, the +ONE goals , using the new three way punches and going over the new summer mini:)  Swaps were amazing.  There were so many wonderful cards that people made..I was so happy with everything about the event.  And let me tell you how awesome the make and takes were to make!!!!  I am posting picture of the ones I have finished so far.  They really are nice.  So who is going to Convention?  Want to go so bad....still saving up for the trup:)  Hope you are all stamping and having a wonderful time!!!!

Hope you enjoy looking at all the regional make and takes!!!  I really need to get a better

Happy Stamping!!!!

Ok so who loves SWAPS????  I certainly do.  As a matter of fact I think I am totally addicted.  But there are two parts to this addiction: First I love to create new things, this gives me a reason to stamp!  Second who doesn't love receiving other cards, or for that matter anything in the mail:)  I love to see other people's creations.  It inspires me and gives me some great ideas for my own cards.  I check out Stampin' Connection all the time to see what kind of SWAPS are out there.  I love it!!!  Here is a little 3x3 Easter card I made for a SWAP I am sending out today.  Hooray for SWAPS!  If anyone knows about anymore SWAPS let me know.  This is my new addiction:)

February 28

When I woke up this morning I knew I was going to stamp.....I try to stamp something everyday!  Then I was looking at the postings on Stampin' Connection and this post just grabbed by attention.  It was a post asking for donations of birth announcements for a rural maternity ward in Arizona.  That was it!  This is what I was going to stamp today...birth announcements.  I decided to do a pack of ten birth announcements for "GIRLS".  I have a cute stamp set that I used for my son when he was born and that was the first and last time I used this stamp set.  It was perfect:)

I love being able to do things for others, as I feel we all should.  This was a way I could use my stamping abilities and extra product for a good cause.  So I handstamped ten really cute "It's a Girl!" birth announcements.  I would love to be able to do this more often and now I think I will.  Ususally we make stacks of cards for SWAP's, and we get cards in return for the hard work we put into making these cards.  But there is something special about not getting something in return but just knowing that you are making someone's day a little bit better by using your talents.  It is a really good feeling to do that!  Kind of addicting actually.  So as I keep looking at posts on Stampin' Connection for more cards that I may be able to make and donate to a good cause, I challenge all of you to do the same.  We have all been blessed with talents and abilities that can make a difference.  We need to use these more often.  So next time you see a post asking for your help, don't look past it, read on and make a difference with your talent!!!!

February 25

Well I have been doing TONS of swaps for regionals in Hartford, CT.  Instead of doing all of same card in bulk, I changed it up a bit! I did a few different cards with differernt designs. It does get a little boring for me to make the same card over and over and over.  So doing different cards not only gives me the chance to create and have fun but gives me a renewed hope that the people I swap with will be happy with there cards:)  Here are some of the cards I made.  Hope you like them:)

It really is going to be a blast if you can make it.  Swapping, fun, MDS classes, prizes and most important friends and fellow stampers.  Hope to see you there.

So today I have been working like crazy doing swap for regionals, and I still need to order more product to finish.  Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the UPS guy with SU! box for me.  It is so exciting!!!  Half the time I forget what I ordered so it's even more exciting.  You guys know what I mean right??? LOL.  Hoping to get more swaps done tomorrow with the kids going back to school.  Wishing full thinking:)

Hope you all have a great night full of fun, stamping, creativeness and resting:)

February 19

I just posted some pics of my stamping room that is under construction like everything else in my life.  But it is my spot to be creative, to create, to stamp with friends and have fun:)  Everybody needs there spot.  For me it used to be the kitchen table with my supplies in a box.  But hey it worked for me at the time:)  Hope you like the pictures.  When I finish more of the room I will post more.

Actually, and who can say no to this question, wouldn't love to have Shelli Gardner's stamping room??  Right.  I was just reading about it and saw pictures in the "Where Women Create" magazine from Winter 2009.  If you haven't seen the photos - WOW!  The room is beautiful!!!  If I had it all I woud do all day is sit in it and create myself.  But Shelli did start 20 years ago in her living room right??  We all need to start somewhere.  She truly inspires me:)  Hope everyone is inspired by something:)  For me it just happens to be Shelli and Stampin' Up.

Happy Creating, Stamping and being inspired!!

February 17

Hi Everyone:)
So who is going to regionals this year?  Convention?  I will be at the Hartford Regionals on the 19th - hope to meet and see some of you there:)

Has anyone seen the inspiring +One speech by Shelli on Stampin' Connection?  I tell you that woman is like a firework.  Everytime I've heard her speak it inspires me to work harder, stamp more and generally be a better person.  I've also had the pleasure and opportunity to meet her in NYC this past fall and that was so exciting.  I was like a little kid!  If you haven't checked out her new +One video and her new You Tube video check it out.  The links are on Stampin' Connection.  Let me know what you think.  I especially like the Candy Shop!  It is hard to believe that everything is made from paper!!!!  WOW!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and a day full of stamping - hopefully:)

February 14

Happy Valentines Day!!!!  Hope it's a good one for all of you:)

I haven't posted a blog in a few weeks due to illness in the family.  It seems like we just keep passing around germs between everyone in the family.  To say the least stamping as been on hold for a while:(

But hopefully those days are soon to be behind us and I can get back to what I love to do - taking care of of my kids and stamping!

Can't wait to show you all the new projects and my "under construction" stamping/crafting room.  It's gonna be great!  I will keep you posted with new blogs and new pics.  Hope you are all well.  Thanks for following.

Enjoy your day, stay healthy and keep stamping:)

January 23

Today is my first workshop!  I became a demonstrator in November.  It will take place in my new stamping studio in my house.  I am so excited but yet at the same time I am a little nervous......I have everyones make and takes readsy to go.  I have samples and prizes!  I want it to be a great experience for my customers/friends:)  I have chosen simple projects that I believe will inspire everyone to want to stamp more.  I want to share with them my excitement for what I do.  Stamping is fun and I want them to see that too.  So I am eager to hear what my customers think about stamping after my workshop.  I also hope that some will even want to book their own workshops!!!  Wish me luck.  I will keep you posted......

Like Shelli Gardner says " Remember three things:  Keep it simple.  Do your best.  Have fun.  Remember always that SU! is all about loving what we do, then sharing what we love."

That is going to be my new motto:)

January 20th

Very tired today:(  But of course never to tired to stamp:)  Still need to work on my blog site and really start doing some projects on My Digital Studio.  I'm so excited about that!  But of course kids and their needs come first so I haven't had a minute to do anything but mommy stuff.  Hoping to get this blog site up by this weekend.  But definitely need the hubbie for help with that.  He is very good with computers, unlike me:)  Hope you all have a great day full of stamping and crafting:)  I did want to share this with all of you, I love it!

Great especially if your a demonstrator:

Want a little - place an order!
  Want a lot - host a workshop!
Want it all - become a demonstrator!

 Isn't that great:)

January 19

Been stamping all day with my upline.  She is wonderful!!!  We made some great projects which I hope to post soon, real soon:)  All kids were with nannies all day.  Mommy needed a day off and it was wonderful:)  Just got My Digital Studio and can't wait to use it.  Will probably be up all night trying to figure it out:)  Then try to wake up bright and cheery tomorrow....don't think so:)

January 18

Working more and more everyday on my own personal space to stamp and craft.  Almost done!!!  I will post pics of the finished product.  It is so exciting for me to have my own space to do my stamping.  Somewhere that is mine and I can work in peace.  Well relative peace....how much peace can u actually get with six kids constantly needing your attention...not much:)

January 4

Well so far I've been busy as a bee and I actually got to shower.....WOW!!!  I'm expecting two packages from Stampin' Up today and I can't wait.  Pretty sad when you are on a first name basis with the UPS guy:)  I love ordering things online and then when they come in..yes, instant happiness!!!  My husband, on the other hand, see it a little differently - lol.  Still on the prowl for people who would like to host a stamping workshop with me.  So you may be getting a phone call:)  Then I have a "webinar" @ 3 for Stampin' Up - Booking For Success.  This is my first webinar.  Don't know exactly what the heck it is or how it works.  But just saying it makes me feel like its important - haha!!  Let ya know how it goes with that.  Will post more later, Peyton is pouring the dog water all over the floor!   UUgghh.......good thing she's so darn cute:)

Late night/Early Morning January 4

Well I just stamped cards for my card swap at the end of January.  I'm trying to be ambitious!!!  Then I ate a piece, okay two pieces of Edwards Hershey Pie.  That is some good stuff!!!  If you see it in the store buy it, try it and you'll love it:)  Now I'm finally off to bed or the couch.  I love to watch the disney channel and fall asleep.  I know the disney channel - what????  Well w/ six kids that watch it all the time I'm kinda hooked.  Could be worse it could be Barney:)  LOL.  Planning on making a million phone calls tomorrow if my babies cooperate (the 2 and 3 yr. olds).  And of course stamp!  I love it!  Have a great night.

January 3

Well today I got my epidural in my neck and it hurts:(  So I haven't gotten much stamping business done yet.  But hey the night is still young - at least for me.  Sick I know:)  I have the book-a-thon for SU to do and I'm so excited to start doing workshops.  Anyone intestested let me know and I would love to plan it out with you - girls night - WOOHHOO!!!!!!!  I'm going to get the rugrats to bed and then get my mojo going and do some stamping and try to make some phone calls to book those workshops.  With sale-a-bration (a promotion SU is running) it couldn't be a better time to have a workshop.  There are even more incentives and free product for hostesses and who doesn't just love free stuff.  Wish me luck on the bedtime thing.....it ususally takes a least a hundred tries to get them all to bed:)  Have a good one.

Sunday, January 2, 2011

Evening January 2

Well I'm so tired.  Like I'm sure everyone else in the world.  There seriously is never enough time in a day to do everything I want.  Sound familiar?  I went to try to find one of my stamps - no where to be found!  Until I looked really hard and realized my two year old got a hold of it and was trying to flush it down the toilet!  Guess I'm not using that stamp anymore.

So excited to start to get together my stuff for all of my January swaps!!  Ask me when I'll find the time to do it tho. LOL.  Tomorrow I have to go for an epidural in my neck  - oh joy:) NOT!!!!!! Thank god for my husband who always takes off work when I need him for stuff like this.  Gotta love him! Off to put the rugrats to bed which is a job all on its own.  Parents you know what I mean.  Then hopefully I CAN get to some stamping - WOOHOO!!!!!
